Welcome to UMANE

This project is aimed to develop a dual bachelor degree programme between two US and three EU universities, namely the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT, NJ, USA), the Rutgers University (RUTGERS, NJ, USA), the Università degli Studi di Parma (UNIPR, IT, EU), the Universidad de Extremadura (UEX, ES, EU) and the Universidad Politècnica de Valencia (UPV, ES, EU).

As a consortium, these universities are working to offer their students an undergraduate joint degree programme in Management Engineering, with special focus on Supply Chain and Operations Management. At the present stage (2012), the dual degree is awarded only by NJIT, UNIPR, UEX and UPV. Rutgers is expected to activate the full adhesion to the dual degree option in the next future. Nonetheless, the role of Rutgers University remains strategic to provide mobility students with additional excellence in the teaching activity.

The dual degree programme includes transatlantic students’ exchange (EU-to-US and US-to-EU for a full academic year) as well as EU-to-EU mobility (one semester).

The aim of the project is promote the level of international expertise and competences of both EU and US students, to enhance their job opportunities, competitiveness, diversity, and language skills.
